Craftsman released a suite of Brushless RP tools to help consumers differentiate them from their entry-level brushed line. The Craftsman CMCF813 V20 Brushless RP impact driver updates the visuals of the CMCF810 but otherwise keeps the tool untouched. If you want a solid brushless tool that costs less than their made-in-the-USA, CMCF820, this Craftsman impact driver could be your next pick.

The brushless motor of this impact driver gives it longer runtime and better consistency than brushed impacts. Craftsman claims the CMCF813 ups its runtime by 30% compared to the CMCF800 brushed impact driver. Like the CMCF810, the Craftsman CMCF813 puts out up to 1,500 in-lbs of torque. That slightly exceeds the 1,460 in-lbs of the brushed CMCF800.
The Craftsman CMCF813 V20 RP impact driver seems ideal for fastening screws and lag bolts. It should also do very well on driving heavy-duty fasteners like ledger screws for decking and other similar tasks. With 2,800 RPM and 3,500 IPM, you should fasten screws rather quickly.

If you want the best impact driver Craftsman makes the CMCF820 offers a bit more top speed (2,900 RPM) and torque (1,700 in-lbs). You also get triple-LED lights that surround the chuck and eliminate all shadows. If you have that option, it’s worth the $20 premium in our opinion.
